It is always nice to go to this buffet. I love the fact the have crawfish.(aka mud bugs) I love the fact they have horchata a nice change from soda. The tables get cleaned of used plates at a steady pace. Love the fact we do not have to wait to get refills.

Recently revisited after a terrible experience hoping they had improved. They had not. The food is varied from Chinese to American fare with some seafood from time to time, but it is mostly either over cooked or has no flavor. It's hard to mess up mac and cheese and chicken nuggets which are the only things my son would eat, but they managed to do it. Their standard Chinese food is overcooked or it is over sugared or salted or there is no flavor at all. The rice they offer is over or under cooked. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Good God do yourself and all your organs a favor, do not eat here, go somewhere else. The food was all either burned or cold. The floors were disgusting. I'm thinking the shrimp and crawfish weren't killed, they committed suicide by being brought into this place. Don't chance it. Run.

Cheap and fast. Combination with Chinese and Mexican food. Self serve fountain drink.

Since no buffet is worthy of 4 or 5 stars, 3 stars is the new 5 stars in the buffet world. I really couldn't find any reason to merit the bad reviews I read about this place. The bathrooms were clean as a whistle, the food was hot, the selection was sizeable, and the dishes and flatware were clean. The best part is the pricing. Buffet and a drink for 2 people was $18.xx during lunch hours. This is a big place. They bust there butts keeping this place in clean condition. This is also a busy place, and they have the room to house it all without a wait and keep it moving. The selection was above average. I particularly liked the egg foo yung. There's a wide variety of Asian, Mexican, and American foods. Everything seemed to be kept fresh, up to temp, and with good presentation. The sushi was a downer and there was a general lack of seafood items on the buffet. Everything else made up for it. If I'm ever in the neighborhood, I would happily stop here to eat. As far as buffets go, this place is the best one I've been to in KC. My favorite part. This place is a trip if you're a people watcher!

This place is good for a quick, cheap meal. Lots of choices, including Mexican, American, and Chinese food. Good rangoons, decent sesame chicken. Grab an icecream cone to take out with you when you leave.

Pretty good for a Chinese buffet. Great selection of not only Chinese food but also American and a small taco bar

For a Chinese buffet I am drawn to this one for the difference in foods that are available. This buffet is catered more towards the Hispanic community that it rest in. Which is a smart move on their part. The food is usually kept warm and replenished often. The dining room is kept clean continuously. Really what more could you need for a Chinese buffet.

Front desk was nice, staff is hardworking and friendly. Food? Not worth $20.86 more like $0.86. Not impressed.

Gross. I went here once because I was hungry and in the area. They make you pay upfront and now I understand why. They have "Chinese" food as well as American and Mexican, which I thought was strange. I tried the pork with peppers, Crab Rangoon, dumplings, and meat Eggrolls. Dumplings were the worst, tasted like big ravioli. Crab Rangoon has cheese that tasted like the cheese in Ritz Bits. Meat eggroll just tasted really odd. Pork was ok but I've had better. Will never eat there again, especially at almost $11 a person for food I can barely eat, let alone enjoy.

We came here because we were starving after our plane ride- it was an impulsive decision. While talking to the owner, we learned that this place is owned and run by Mexicans! After years of working for Chinese restaurants, they have picked up on the tricks of the trade. Go you! Regardless, the food is disappointing. The dishes have been sitting out for too long and the noodles are either too salty, too greasy, or both.

I believe I've reviewed this place before but we went last Saturday so here goes again. I don't know why we bother with this place. I'm sorry, it's nasty. Children run around unsupervised, dipping their hands in the food, grabbing silverware and then putting it back, picking up chicken and putting it back. Yuck! The Mexican side is under seasoned. Why? This is a huge hispanic neighborhood. Some of those meat dishes are just stuffed with gristle. The Chinese portion is pretty decent with selection but what's with the kids sticking their hands in the food? The American portion is ok. Now, you can get a pretty filling experience here but LAWDY! Get a grip on these little monsters running amok sticking their dirtly little mitts in everything. I love kids but I don't care for unsupervised rugrats who notoriously put their hands in dirty places and then in food and back. I don't think I can eat here again after the last couple of times. We have eaten here a lot because it's close and we have enjoyed the food albeit the bland Mexican too but the hygiene here is not great and I've been tempted to call the Health Department. Got that restaurant? You need to clean your act up and supervise how this buffet is run. One thing I do like? They have Jamaica and Horchata on fountain! My partner loves horchata and I ADORE Jamaica! But, they need to clean this place up before we'll eat there again. Now, to top things off? As we were leaving, a teen was hanging on the hostess' podium flirting, with his shorts tastelessly drooped around the bottom of his cheeks and the whole nasty bare-buttcrack was sticking out, bare as all get-out. Not a very toothsome sight after an already less-than-pleasant dining experience. Listen, we live nearby and just because we're in the 'hood doesn't mean we have to behave and maintain things in a ghetto-fabulous manner. Please clean up this restaurant and monitor people's behavior or you're going to lose good business. The shopping center is a fantastic and beautiful addition to inner-city KCK. We visit Tapatio regularly and we visit the SunFresh regularly. Please don't allow an atmosphere of uncleanliness and bad behavior to keep us and others away from your establishment.

Meh. Ever heard the expression "pick one thing and do it well"? This place needs to adhere to that. Too much stuff and none of it done well. I started off with some Orange Shrimp, which I'll admit was good, until I went back for seconds. In the mere 20 minutes it took me to scarf it down and pick thru the rest of my plate, they brought out a fresh batch and it tasted nothing like my original sampling. Blech. After perusing the rest of the buffet, which is extensive....American - fried chicken; Chinese - self explanatory; Mexican - fajitas, tacos I decided that everything looked like it had been pre-prepared and doused with it's coordinating sauce. I really did give some other things a go, but the vittles just fell flat. Like a ton of bricks in my stomach, that shifted to my ass and stayed there for days. No hurry to return.

This place seems to be getting a bad rap from the other reviewers. Let's just be clear here; this is an American mega-buffet. Your expectations should reflect this. The food actually exceeded my expectations, but I had the bar set pretty low in my mind before going in. The food options were amazing. Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Mexinese (a nice blend of Chinese and Mexican), and American. My chief complaint? Noise. Good lord, it was loud in there. Be prepared. All-in-all, though, I would recommend this place for families or poor dudes looking to 'carb up' either before or after long nights out drinking oat sodas.

I liked the food, but quite a bit of it was under-seasoned. Great price for the buffet though - HUGE selection, Drinks included, Under $9.00 out-the-door for Lunch on the weekend [we went on a Saturday around 3:45pm. Lunch prices are 11AM to 3:45 -- Dinner is 4pm - 10pm.] The buffet has over (100) items to choose from, including Chinese, American, Mexican, Desserts, and Salad bar. Standout dishes, will come back for: o Sesame chicken o Jalapeno fried rice o Egg rolls o Crab Rangoon o Nacho cheese - I made a pretty nice Tostada with chicken + onions with it. SixFootTwo also liked the Orange Shrimp and the chocolate pudding. ;-) --Not so much: p Onion rings p Fried mushrooms p The taco meat looked kinda spurious - I don't think it should be that watery p Corn (way undercooked, very rubbery. Could be a one-off, but please let them know if it's a regular thing.) The place is decently large inside, lots of seating; well-lit, and the staff were very nice and very efficient. There are a few TVs on the walls, as well. First time I've really filled up at a Chinese buffet for a long while. :-) And Jack-in-the-box is right next door... / NOMNOMNOM

Its alright. its decent food. Its not too expensive and LOTS of options from Chinese, to mexican, to american. I like and have been there more than I should. Lunch is til 3:45 and dinner is until 10. Sunday is dinner all day. I like their Crab Ragoon. The Sweet and Sour Chicken is good with or without sauce. Great soups. Over all not bad
